We can take Him at His word.

Jesus replied, "You're right that you only have my word. But you can depend on it being true. I know where I've come from and where I go next. You don't know where I'm from or where I'm headed. You decide according to what you can see and touch. I don't make judgments like that. But even if I did, my judgment would be true because I wouldn't make it out of the narrowness of my experience but in the largeness of the One who sent me, the Father. John 8:15-16 (The Message)

God is faithful and true, and we can take Him at His word. If Jesus is in fact who He says He is, if He did what the Father did and told him to do in His holiness and glory, and if we are to follow the example of Jesus in our everyday living, than our decision making process will be dramatically different. Rather than basing our lives on what we experience, good and bad, we would respond to life based on the largeness of the Father, who is right and true, good and loving in all His ways. We can take Him at His word, and we can trust Him to be all that He is, the Great I AM, in our lives as well.
