Faith means embracing what God has.

"The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him.
Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you."
(Galatians 3:11-12 - The Message)

Our walk of faith isn't about what WE do, it's about joining God in what HE is doing.
It's about following His lead, not doing our own thing to gain righteousness.
Righteousness comes by faith.
Faith means living with hands open, not striving for control.
Faith means allowing God to drive us forward.
It means going where He sends, and being in the situation He allows.
And it means honoring Him by believing Truth and walking accordingly.

So true...and yet so hard to truly surrender!!!

I think that there is purpose and worth to every single life. I think each human has a special role to play in the great scheme of things under the stars. I think God gives humans a degree of self will. God I beleive hasn't asked us to surrender our self will, but to channel our self-will in consistent with His- in actualizing His plans for our lives. I beleive this is the reason why Jesus taught his disciple to pray in this manner:"... thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" Making earth a reflection of Heaven is why I beleive we have been put here. I have never been a fan of what the church has always preached all along- about God desiring a personal relationship with us. It sort of potrays God as someone who is lonely and has no friends. I believe differently. While I agree with the protestant reformation idea that every human being can freely access and talk to God, talking and perpetual conversation with God, a personal relationship par say, is not the sole reason God created humans. God creating humans is evidence of his love personified. Allowing an otherwise nonentity, an incognito piece of dust to come into existence, not only demonstrates God's creative overflow, but his generosity in wanting others to experience consciousness and existence- just like himself. You must have heard of the age old adage: life is a gift. God made humans not because he desires any sort of companionship or need, but purely out of his love and generosity. His first unequivocal instruction to the first humans, was for them to be involved in a cultural mandate of enlarging His Kingdom on earth. He told Adam and Eve to multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth.

Sorry for going off tangent. In a nutshell, I meant to say, life is a two way street. A human and divine agency are work. It is one of the sorriest rationalizations of our times, that we should not live our lives, waiting God to make every decision for us. Yet I know, great is the demise and fall of the person who doesn't figure God into the equation of life. Quite a paradox. Life has a wacky way of putting anyone into place that thinks they can get anywhere completely by their own power and self will. This is a fine line. As much as reason and self-will, faith should be an intergral part of life: the beleive in things we cannot see see; the existencial humility of accepting the brevity and nullity of life, our small role and powerlessness here; a divine power that rules over the affairs of humans. The quicker we realise that God rules over the affairs of humans, that the reason he put us here is because of his love, to actualize his will for our lives, the better we will be at living a full and productive life.
